Friends With Benefits is a smug little film that thinks it’s smarter than your standard, sappy rom-com. It makes fun of the genre, takes digs at Katherine Heigl and Nora Ephron, and even shows its characters watching the kind of schmaltzy romance on TV that it claims to be better than. But turns out Friends With Benefits is in fact a standard, sappy rom-com that’s just as predictable as all the others out there.Despite its raunchy set-up, Friends With Benefits is a familiar, sickeningly gooey date-movie that never rises above its wobbly script. Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis look a million bucks (both with and without their clothes on!), and they strike up a warn chemistry. But Timberlake has a cocky presence that betrays that leading man charisma needed to carry the film.In the end, it’s strictly average entertainment if you have nothing better to do.  Well,Friends with Benefits boosts of usual Hollywood jazz of no commitment and no I-miss-you moves. But getting physical has never been that easy, has it? Not at least for Hollywood romcoms.Remember Ashton Kutcher's No Strings Attached? So what's different with this one? It's the chemistry between Timberlake and Kunis which is smooth, perfect, crackling. You actually end up giving them the benefit of doubt... despite the romcom's cliches!. Read more

You have seen this film before, in various versions of that one question: 'Can a boy and a girl ever be friends?'. More recently, you saw it in a movie with a virtually similar plot and an exact same tagline -- 'No Strings Attached', tagged 'Friendship has its benefits'.Unfortunately for 'Friends with Benefits', for whatever it was worth, that film starring Natalie Portman and Ashton Kutcher knew far more to do with the basic plot of two people deciding to keep their relationship purely about sex than just leaving it at purely about sex.
